What We Do:

We focus on projects related to farming, fresh water, health and education to improve the living conditions and reduce poverty for the people of Togo.

Funding Requirements:

You, or someone you recommend, must be the on-site project manager to ensure the project is started and completed on time and meets the terms and conditions we approve for the project.  The project manager is a volunteer position so that 100% of the approved budget goes directly to the project beneficiaries.

Using the form below, or an attached document, please give a detailed project description.  This includes the number of people expected to benefit from the project, how the project will reduce poverty or improve the lives of the beneficiaries, how success of the project will be measured going forward, detailed cost breakdown showing specifically how the budget will be spent.  We also ask for 3 verifiable and independent estimates.

 

What happens after we receive the request?

The SOV team will review the request at the next monthly board meeting after we receive the request.  We will evaluate the request to confirm it meets the criteria listed above and determine if this is a project we will fund.  If we have questions, we will reach out to you for clarification before making a final decision.  Depending upon the timing, it may take 1-2 months before a decision is made. The turn around time for projects is typically 3 months from the time we approve the project.
