Michael Larson has worked for fifteen years in social services within multiple roles for CFS, Justice and Education. In all these roles he supported children, parents and families to live healthier lives. He works through a trauma informed lens and believes everyone deserves a chance to go on a healing journey.

Michael is a human rights activist focusing on children’s rights. He has served on a Board of Directors in the past for an organization focusing on free Mental Health Resources and Support.

Michael currently volunteers for a No Violence for Kids for Canada group working towards having the Government of Canada ban corporal punishment against Children.

​

Michael has also built a online community of 1,800 parents where he provides free education and support through posts, videos, events and answering questions.

He owns his own business called Life Upgrade where he is a teen, parent and family Counsellor/Coach. He takes parents through an Empowered Parenting Program.

​

Michael currently works for a not-for-profit organization called Shawenim Abinoojii Inc. where the vision is to see culturally healthy children, families and communities.

​

He works as a mentor, trainer, facilitator and case manger who specializes in trauma and attachment. Through this work he helps bring families back together who have been split apart through child and family services.

Michael is guided by the belief that every child deserves a safe and healthy home environment.
