Josita Ekouevi
Country Representative
Josita Ekouevi is amongst the leading strategists/advisors responsible for American Embassy Lomé’s engagement with individuals and organizations recognized as “Established Opinion Leaders”, such as think tanks, professional associations, civil society organizations and academic institutions. Her main responsibilities are to coordinate the American Embassy Lomé’s exchange programs including Fulbright, Humphrey, International Visitors, Mandela Washington Fellowship, Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI), as well as the Emerging Voices (EV) audiences. In addition, she manages the U.S. Government alumni outreach activities, and supervises the test center of Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Lomé.
Josita is a specialist in the management of savings and credit cooperatives, and a trained expert in microfinance. She has been serving as the Board of Directors Chief for the staff credit union “Maturité”, as well as board member of the largest Togo Credit Unions umbrella, FUCEC TOGO for several years.
Josita’s educational background includes a “Maîtrise” in International Management from the University of Dunkerque, Cote d’Opale, France and an advanced administrative school diploma from the University of Lomé. She also took classes in credit union management from Boulder Institute of Microfinance, Turin (Italy).
She has been serving as the SOV local representative for the past 5 years.
